I was so excited to be a Chicago Gaelic Park Wedding Photographer for Mary and Jim’s amazing wedding day!!
What a gorgeous couple and perfect day for a wedding, I was so excited to be a part of their celebration and working with Joel from Wedding Films again! He is so talented, I can not wait to share the highlight he makes with everyone here in a couple weeks. :) I am getting ahead of myself, we started the day with some getting ready before the church ceremony. Mary’s amazing neighbor lent us his yard, which provided a barn and old car backdrop for some portraits before the wedding with Mary, her family, and the bridesmaids. So cool! It was then time for the wedding and then off to the park where it all began for some wedding portraits, the park where Jim surprised Mary during a run with a ring. It was so fun to do some wedding pictures there!
Then it was time for a celebration and what a party it was. The band The Walk-ins performed live for all the dancing and Joe and his team did an amazing job of keeping everything moving and on schedule, and keeping the dance floor full and providing so much fun entertainment all night long. Everyone was raving about them and they have become my favorite band to refer to couples for weddings! It was an unforgettable night and we had sooo much fun capturing all the memories for this happy couple!
Mary and Jim are both a little superstitious and she wanted to have this necklace charm that she always wears with her on the big day, so she had it sewn into her dress. I love it!! I also think this kept the rain away until AFTER we finished all the portraits outside.
I asked Mary and Jim what their favorite moment was from the wedding day and what they were most looking forward to seeing in pictures/video and they both agreed on their choreographed first dance!! It was awesome!! They both also agreed, that they planned the perfect wedding, it was everything that they wanted and their advice to other couples is to plan a wedding day that you want. I always say there are no rules it is important to have fun and enjoy every minute of the day!!
Congratulations Mary and Jim!! I wish you nothing but love and laughter as you begin your happily ever after. Special thanks to everyone who helped to make their big day spectacular!
