I was so very excited to be able to photography another Patrick Haley Mansion Joliet Wedding! This time it would be a winter wedding with a Christmas theme as both of these families really enjoy the holiday season. We began the day with getting ready of the bride and groom at their parent’s home. From there we went to Church for a wonderful ceremony officiated by a close family priest. It was so personal and beautiful for these high school sweethearts!
I asked both Katie and Casey what their favorite moment from their Patrick Haley Mansion Joliet Wedding was and they both agreed on it was when there were walking down the aisle and got to see each other for the first time!! They are more traditional and there was a lot of time after the ceremony for pictures, so there was no problem with doing all the formal and fun pictures after the ceremony. It was very sweet moment and I was happy that I ALWAYS shoot with another photographer so that we can capture both reactions at the same time. It would be nearly impossible with just one photographer.
Casey: “My favorite moment was watching Katie walk down the aisle. I knew how excited she was about her dress, and she refused to show me any pictures of her dress fittings. I knew that was going to be a very special moment for me.”
Katie: “My favorite part was walking down to Casey. Even though he warned me before the wedding that he was going to be emotional, it was still very cute to see him teary eyed.”
It was a very wet December day for this Patrick Haley Mansion Joliet Wedding, however we had a nice period with not rain and we were able to capture some wedding pictures outside. We were really lucky that Patrick Haley Mansion is so beautiful and there were a lot of great places for pictures inside as well. Since we were battling the wet weather and the fact that is gets dark so early this time of year, it wasn’t stressful because of the awesome indoor photo location planned.
Patrick Haley Mansion Joliet Wedding has an AMAZING bridal suite on the third floor. We just had to do some photos of the bride and gals in this room!! I also LOVE the couple’s choice of colors for the wedding. The gold and red was classic and beautiful choice for a Christmas time wedding. The Florist Petals did a stunning job on the floral arrangements and personal florals for the wedding. 
I LOVE when couples have live bands at the wedding. It really energizes the party and everyone hits the dance floor to have a fun time! Katie and Casey choose the band Maggie Speaks and they rocked the night away!!
We always try to get a fun end of the night portrait of the couple, it makes for a fun picture at the end of their story in the wedding album. We never let a little rain scare us aways and it can actually add some fun. The rain was part of this couple’s wedding day and brought them a lot of luck!
We had so much fun with Katie, Casey and their family and friends capturing all the wonderful moments of the wedding day. We wish you nothing but LOVE and LAUGHTER as you begin your happily ever after! Congratulations!!
