Salvage One Chicago Wedding Photographer and a beautiful and fun celebration with family and friends!
I was so excited to photograph Caitlin and Pat’s wedding day this September at the fun Salvage One Chicago. I started the day with the Bride and gals at DL Loft. What a beautiful space down the street from the St. Alphonsus Church where the ceremony would be held that afternoon. Which was perfect as the Bride and Bridesmaids could relax at this beautiful space and walk to the ceremony. Pat and the guys spent the afternoon relaxing and having a drink at a favorite watering hole near the couple’s place. The ceremony at St. Alphonsus Church was so beautiful and personal. We did lots of pictures at Salvage one, which was so fun. It is such an unusual space, very eclectic and lots of great photo opts. My favorite was the sparklers in front of the famous Chicago sign at the end of the evening.
There are so many great memories and moments from this fabulous celebration, I hope that you enjoy! Congratulations Caitlin and Pat!! I wish you nothing but love and laughter as you begin your happily ever after!!
Caitlin offers this advice to other couples planning their big day: “It’s easy to get separated during the day, especially with everyone wanting to congratulate you! Make sure that you do some of the meet and greet time together! Otherwise, the wedding will end and you’ll realize you have seen your husband/wife the whole night! Also – confetti pictures aren’t worth the clean-up they require!” :)
I asked Caitlin and Pat what thier favorite moments from the wedding day were and they both commented:
Caitlin: My favorite moment (it’s so hard to choose!) was when my uncle, who flew in from Ireland, surprised us during the ceremony. He came up near the end to give an Irish prayer, one that is very special to both Pat and me. It really was the best ending to the ceremony and was probably the most I cried during the day!
Patrick: Getting on the trolley after the ceremony. It was the first time being able to celebrate with our friends and family as husband and wife. It didn’t hurt that it also marked that the stress was over and we could finally let loose and start relaxing.
Caitlin and Pat would love to thank all the amazing vendors! Caitlin said, “I continue to get compliments on how smoothly things ran, how electric the dance floor was, how great the food tasted, and how beautiful our preview pictures turned out! All my vendors were truly behind the scene heroes! From Laura bustling my dress and having to pin it after a loop broke, to catering and Caitlin Brown running out to get more vodka after we ran out, the day would not have been so successful without all their hard work!”
