Morton’s Chicago Winter Wedding :: Lindsay and Joe

Lindsay and Joe planned a beautiful intimate Morton’s Chicago Winter Wedding. We started the evening off at the fabulous Hotel Monaco right in the heart of Chicago and near the river. Lindsay and Joe planned to do a first look so we could do pictures outside before the ceremony and making for a nice flow to the wedding event. I love taking couples down on the Chicago riverwalk for picture-perfect views of the Chicago skyline and iconic bridges. We got super lucky and had some amazing snow falling right at the time we had planned for the bride and groom night portraits. It was nothing short of magical. Lindsay and Joe agreed that they really appreciate my advice in doing a first look.

“It was actually nice because it took the pressure off of getting emotional at the ceremony.
I think it was also a very special moment between us and it was more private.”

We just had to take a portrait out front of the hotel with the twinkle lights since this was a holiday wedding!!
Lindsay said was one of her favorite moments from the day was when we did pictures outside and even though it was cold and freezing. I am a so glad that we were able to head outside as these pictures are my favorite from the day, simply magical!!  From the riverwalk we walked over to Morton’s for the wedding ceremony and family pictures. Followed by a super fun party and full dance floor!!

So many camera phones at this Morton’s Chicago Winter Wedding, we had some competition. The only thing that Lindsay and Joe would change from their amazing wedding day was to have more room and seating in the ceremony site.

I thought it was so thoughtful of the bride and groom to honor their ring bearer with a birthday cake. It was the COOLEST cake that I have ever seen for a wonderful boy who was so sweet to share his big day with the happy couple!!
Morton's Chicago Winter WeddingLindsay and Joe also shared that another favorite moment from the wedding day was their first dance.
She also shared some advice: “Do not at any point stress about the small stuff or worry things won’t go smoothly.  The little things you notice will NOT be noticed by your guests.”
