Julie and Erik were married last Saturday on a rainy afternoon – but that did not stop them from having an amazing time or for us to grab some amazing photos around the great city of Chicago!! I always tell all my couples, its best to be prepared for the weather, but not to let it get you worked up – its still an amazing day and we will get creative and grab great photos! Chris (my fantastic assistant) and I started the day at the Chicago Millennium Knickerbocker hotel for preparation photos of the bride and groom before heading to the Church for the ceremony. I drove in the trolley with Julie and the bridesmaids – it was an adventure to get to the church in the crazy weather. A quick ride and we were at beautiful Holy Name, for a wonderful wedding ceremony service. In the time that we were inside the church, the storms had past and left us with a two hour window for photos – everyone was so excited! We traveled around the city for photos, including stops at Kinzie Bride, the Board of Trade, Michigan Avenue’s Wrigley Building, and the W Hotel, with time left over for a few minutes of relaxing before the festivities that evening began. What an amazing event, and so much fun! The Knickerbocker has a dance floor that lights up, add great music, wonderful food and drinks and we’ve got a perfect party! Everyone was dancing the night away, smiles all around! Congratulations Julie and Erik – have a blast in Hawaii!! Here are some of my favorites from Julie and Erik’s wedding story.
Great images above by my assistant Chris of the church – thanks Chris!!
