I was so excited to be a part of Erica and Jason’s Grand Resort at Lake Geneva Wedding celebration. June is such a pretty month for weddings, and they had a perfect day filled with sunshine and laughter. I started the afternoon off with Erica and the gals for some getting ready photos before we met up with Jason for the first look. It was so special and Jason was so nervous!! As soon as he was with his beautiful bride to be all those nerves melted away and it was time to get some amazing portraits with the wedding party and family before heading to the ceremony for the wedding!
The wedding ceremony was so special, the music was a perfect blend of the couple’s favorites, of course, some Phish jams, and the officiant made it so personal. It was perfect and there were so many smiles and happy tears all around as these two families became one!!
This family was amazing to work with, with so much real emotion. Laughter, smiles, and an occasional happy tear. Jason’s Granny hugging him right after the ceremony melts my heart! <3
The party was at the Grand Geneva at Lake Geneva in the ski lodge and was rustic and charming. Music by Design did an amazing job keeping the night on track with great tunes for ambiance and dancing. They are one of my favorite DJ companies to work with here in Chicagoland. The staff at the Grand Geneva Resort were friendly and very nice to work with. One of my favorite captures of this day was the cake cutting. This is probably THE most dramatic and funny cake cutting I have ever captured. They took my advice of “just have fun with it” to heart and I LOVE the pictures!!
