I was so excited for such a beautiful day for my last Venue 5126 of 2018. This is one of MY FAVORITE venues, it has amazing sunsets and the country chic vibe of a simple day filled with nature, family and friends. A venue where you can dance in the barn with the barn doors open and the sunlight or sunset streaming in makes it so romantic!! During the party you have so many choices, you can cook some S’mores over the fire-pit, play cornhole, visit an open air photobooth selfie station or just enjoy the sunset and warm night area on the patio within range of tunes from the band or DJ. Photographers love great light, and the light is always fantastic at Venue 5126 Weddings!! Add a sweet couple and it is a perfect day for me.
I asked Kaylee and Caleb to let me know what there favorite moments from their wedding was. Kaylee told me that “my favorite part of my wedding day was our first look. I loved seeing Caleb’s reaction. It was so sweet and perfect.” Caleb’s told me “my favorite part of my wedding day was watching Kaylee walk down the isle. I had been waiting for that moment my whole life and she looked unexplainably beautiful and I felt the presence of the Lord which made it 1000x times greater.”
I am so happy that Caleb and Kaylee took my advice and decided to do a first look. They didn’t want to do one when they hired LMP for their wedding day photography. However, they told me: “We did do a first look. At first, we were going to wait to see each other when I first came down the aisle, but a couple of months before the wedding we changed our minds. We are SO glad that we did, too. Because we chose to do the first look, we had so much more time to take beautiful pictures and we didn’t have to rush anything. Not only that but the first look was one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Seeing my groom’s face light up brought so much joy to my heart.” I also always recommend having two photographers at your wedding, this helps capture so many moments. It is clear during the first look and the ceremony that my second shooter and I worked as a team to capture both angels and all reactions between the happy couple. So much fun!
I have two favorite parts of Caleb and Kaylee’s wedding day. First was all the time we had to do portraits of the couple, we did some before the ceremony and then during the magic hour of the sunset time before we left for the day. I also LOVED all the intimate and personal details that they had for their wedding day. These details made the day uniquely theirs, soft and romantic flowers, vintage and fun items, the father of the groom officiated the ceremony, and a bible as a guest book which highlighted their faith in the Lord.
