It was a picture-perfect day for Hannah and Adam’s intimate wedding at the Pine Ridge Christian Center in Sheridan. I was so excited about their wedding, as it just sounds so unique when we were planning. I had never been there before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the grounds of the center were just perfect for nature wedding portraits. The ceremony was outside in a little clearing backed by the forest, it was a dramatic walk for Hannah and her father and gave Adam lots of time to see his beautiful bride approaching him. He told me that was his favorite moment of the day. The only “problem” that Hannah and Adam had on the wedding day was that the officiant’s iPad overheated minutes after he started the ceremony. It was funny and no harm was done, it gave the happy couple time to look out at all their family and friends seated and waiting to celebrate this special day with them. Hannah told me that was her favorite moment because not only was it comical it gave her time to really soak in the beauty of the moment. The rest of the day went without a hitch, we did beautiful portraits with family and walked around the grounds together to get some amazing bride and groom portraits. We even got to take a couple with Hannah and Adam’s dogs! Top it off with fresh wood fire pizzas on-site for dinner from Passini’s pizza and you’ve got yourself a celebration!!
I asked Hannah and Adam what their favorite or most memorable moment from the wedding day was. Adam told me that for sure it was when he got to see Hannah walking down the aisle with her dad. Hannah told me it was when the officiant’s iPad overheated at the very start of the ceremony. Not only was it comical but it gave me time to stand with my groom and soak in all the beauty of that moment. I have to agree, it was the only thing that “went wrong” that day and it was more comical than upsetting to everyone!
Hannah and Adam off this advice to couples who are planning a wedding. “It’s really about quality over quantity. During the day you should take mental “snapshots” and force yourself to stay present. You’re more likely to remember those moments of bliss.” Thank you Hannah and Adam for trusting me to capture your special day!! I wish you nothing but love and laughter as you begin your happily ever after and congratulations on your growing family!! <3
