Frank and Kate are Married!! :: Chicago Wedding Photographer

I met Kate and Frank this past summer, when I had the joy of photographing their beautiful family. Kate and Frank have been together for 10 years and have two beautiful children Ande and Frankie. Although from the photos, you would never know…the smiles are from ear to ear…I love it!! Kate called me in January and invited me to photograph their intimate wedding on Valentine’s Day weekend, of course I was so excited! We had a beautiful winter’s evening for the wedding photos and evening ceremony in Elmhurst. Kate and Frank did a first look before the ceremony so that we could get a few photos outside while it was still light out. The evening sunlight was amazing!! The ceremony was so beautiful and Ande and Frankie played such a special part in the wedding of their parents. After a Sparkler exit post ceremony, the wedding guests headed over to The Standard in Downtown Elmhurst for the dinner celebration, while Kate, Frank and I did a few more photos in downtown Elmhurst….braving the cold! Kate and Frank had such a beautiful wedding event and I was so happy to be there to document their day, I wish you many more beautiful years together and much happiness in the future!!

Nimisha and Shibu are Married!! :: Chicago Wedding Photographer

Nimisha and Shibu were married after Christmas on a beautiful snowy late December afternoon in the Northern Suburbs. I was excited to photograph their Catholic-Indian Wedding and reception with the talented Ian from Wedding Story Studio. The happy couple did their “first look” at the Bahai Temple and then we did bridal party and some beautiful and intimate photos of the couple.

The rest of the afternoon I spent with Shibu, the groom, and his family. Everyone was in such great spirits at Shibu’s Parents house…preparing for the ceremony. The house was full of family, laughing and celebrating this special day. Before we departed for the ceremony, their was a blessing, the whole family gathered around Shibu in the final moments he was to be a single man. The ceremony was Held at St John Breeuf Catholic Church in Niles. It was a wonderful service with many traditional Indian and Catholic events, including Trying of the Thali and Veiling of the Manthrakodi which is the wedding sari that the grooms family gives the bride.

The Reception was held at Chateau Ritz in Niles were there we again a mix of traditional American and Indian rituals including Nada Vili (a traditional was of cheering for the couple after the wedding) and Vellakku Kathikkal (Lighting of the lamp symbolizing the commitment of the B&G to bring god into their life), to name only a few that I included in my post. It was a great wedding, lots of smiles and fun being had by the couple and all of the guests. Here are my favorites, congratulations Shibu and Nimisha!!

I had a fabulous time photographing Meg and Josh’s Late December wedding with the fabulous Kris from iKlik Photo at the Drake Downtown. We started with getting ready photos and then headed up to Lincoln Park for the Church ceremony, then explored Michigan ave for some Pretty lights and romantic pics of the happy couple before heading back the the beautiful Drake for the reception. It was great to work with such a fun bridal party and finally get to work with my friend Kris, here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!!

Penny and David were married on November 7, 2009 on a beautiful fall day…mild temperature and not a cloud in the sky! I had a great time with Photographing Penny and David’s wedding day, we had a lot of time for some amazing portraits and traveled all over the St Charles and Batavia area getting a lot of the photos finished before the ceremony, taking advantage of the great sunlight. It made for some unbelievably beautiful photos. Then we headed to the church for an intimate ceremony, followed by some more fun and candid photos of Penny and David at Walter Payton’s Round House in Aurora, of course then it was time for the party!! I had a blast documenting this day full of smiles and love, Congratulations Penny and David!!

Heidi and Chris: A Beautiful Fall Wedding:: Chicago Wedding Photographer

Heidi and Chris were married on October 10th, 2009, on the most beautiful fall day we had this year!! Heidi and Chris are such a sweet couple, you could feel the love in the air on the wedding day. We started with getting ready pics at the condo and then headed out to Aurora for the church ceremony. From there it was time for picture fun at the beautiful St Charles Country Club….and the the fun filled party. This wedding new how to have a great party, every one was tearing up the dance floor….it was a blast! Congratulations Heidi and Chris!! Here are some of my favorites, enjoy!!

Christine and Michael were married on October 9th at the beautiful Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont. It was a day full of fabulous smiles, not even a rain storm could stop this happy couple from smiling. We had a blast taking photos before the ceremony, the rain stopped during the ceremony which was perfect timing for the ceremonial dove release. We were blessed with great light for outdoor family photos and a more fun and creative bridal party photos and then the most beautiful sunset for some romantic photos of Michael and Christine. Then it was time to party! The reception was so beautiful, ever detail was planned by Michael and Kehoe Designs, where Michael works….simply stunning. Here are some of my favorites, enjoy!!

Anne and Brendan A Stylish City Wedding: Chicago Wedding Photographer

Anne and Brendan were married on October 3rd at the fabulous James Hotel in Chicago. What a fun couple!! Anne and Brendan met at a radio station in college, so they decided to have their first look at Reckless Records in Chicago. It was so suiting and so much fun!!! The t was off in a cab for some photo fun around the city, nothing was going to stop us…not even the rain. We did the bridal party photos in the beautiful Art Institute Gardens before heading back to the James for more photo fun and then a rest before the Ceremony…and then a lively and fun party with not a detail over looked. I had a great time with Anne and Brendan, here are some of my favorites from the day.

Vianna and Mark, a wedding day celebration

Vianna and Mark celebrated their wedding on September 26th. We had a full day of fabulous photos in the city, lots of fabulous locations over the course of 4 hours, before heading back out to the North west Burbs for the ceremony and reception festivities. Vianna and Mark wanted to break all the typical traditions and have fun with their pictures. We did a private first look between Vianna and Mark in Millennium park, then met up with the limo and Bridal Party for more photos at the Wrigley Building and surrounding loop and then off to Wicker Park for some urban off the wall photos. It was a blast!! We got some great images, and some really cool urban-grungy images…love it! We arrived back out to the burbs with time to relax a bit before the sunset ceremony and then of course the party!! Thanks Vianna and Mark for including us as part of your special day. Theresa and Dan are married!!!

Theresa and Dan were married on September 12, 2009 at a beautiful church and Naperville. It was a perfect day for a wedding, the weather was amazing, such a gift for such a super sweet couple!! We traveled to Cantigny garden in Wheaton for photo fun. Cantigny is absolutely beautiful!! We explored for a couple hours of photos and then were off to the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club for more pictures and of course the party. We stopped for a quick photo in front of Mayslake, I was so excited to do a picture there, I have always wanted to and drive by the grounds nearly daily, it was a treat! The reception was a blast and I was laughing so much at the funny face everyone was making for the photobooth, great party. Here are some of my favorites, enjoy!!

Renee and Jeff are such a fun couple, I had a blast photographing their wedding at the beautiful Marriott in Burr Ridge. They had a perfect sunset ceremony and then we did some quick photos around the grounds of the Marriott. Everything was planned perfectly, and so many fabulous details. Once the party began, it was non stop laughter and dancing!! I had so much fun photographing this wedding, and have to give a great big thanks to the other fabulous vendors that helped make the night perfect!!
