A few weeks ago I got together with a few close friends and talented Chicago photographers (plus my amazing friend and floral designer Laura from Gardeenia). Tracy, Deonna, Christina and I all took a turn in front of the camera for some updated headshots – and to remember what it feels like to be in front of the camera for a change. Lots of laughing was to be had – as it is intimidating to have three camera pointed at you!! Here are a few of my favorites… and a sneak peek at some bouquets from Gardeenia (I will feature all of them in a post soon). Also, I should have a new headshot on the site soon!! Happy Monday!

I really enjoy shooting for Nordstroms and getting to go to many of the Nordstroms stores here in the midwest to do portraits of their employees for the in house newsletter. On Monday, I was in Grand Rapids Michigan shooting at the featured Norstroms Rack. I had a great time getting to photograph six employees from every department, including Customer Service, Management, front of the house and back of the house associates. Lots of great colors this season, here are some of my favorites!

I met with Alyssa on an amazing fall afternoon for her Senior Portrait Session. I had a great time learning all about her interests including music, photography and her passion for writing and journalism that will take her to a fabulous Chicago University in 2011. Alyssa had a fabulous look! I knew right away that we would get along great and have a rockin session. I love the leather jacket and hair style- simply perfect for a nature versus urban chic session!! We explored and walked all over the park and found some great locations for photos. I have so many favorites from her session…it was so hard to pick which ones to post first. Many congratulations on your upcoming graduation Alyssa!!

Fall Family Portraits In Lincoln Park! :: { Chicago Portrait Photographer :: Laura Meyer }

At the beginning of October I had the opportunity to meet with this fabulous family for some fun Autumn family portraits in a beautiful area of Chicago, Lincoln Park. We could not have asked for a more perfect afternoon! With all members of the family included we set off to explore the area and find some fabulous locations for some family photos. I have to say, we made it for a little over an hour with no tears – just smiles, laughter and exploring and of course lots of fun photos – simply fantastic! I had an amazing time getting to know this beautiful family, here are some of my favorite photos – the little one with the red hair is such a scream, both boys personalities really shine in these photos, what a great session! Enjoy!

WHY: So….What is boudoir??
Boudoir is French for a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room. LMP Boudoir Sessions typically take place in a hotel room or other intimate setting. This allows us to create classy images that can be soft, romantic, and sexy.. The main focus of a boudoir photographer is to capture you in the most flattering way by guiding you through the poses that compliment your body type.

Why have a boudoir session??

To surprise your special someone with some fabulous photos in a super sexy custom album. It’s a perfect wedding present…..many of our boudoir sessions are a secret surprise for the hubby to be, left for him to enjoy the night before “the big day.” It’s a perfect for a Valentines day gift for couples….what better way to spice things up then to have some super hot pictures of you looking amazing in a custom designed album!! Or just simply because it fun!! Every women is beautiful in her own special way, every session is unique to each woman’s personality and style.

Serena is a senior at Westmont High School, gradation in 2010 and going to college to study music education. I had a blast going around Fullersburg woods and then exploring downtown Westmont with Serena, getting to know her and hearing about all her plans after graduation. She was such a down-to-earth and sweet girl, with amazing green eyes. We explored the urban versus nature theme in her photos, finding some creative spots with fabulous light. Here are some of my favorites. Congratulation on your graduation next year Serena…I wish you the best!!

Maggie’s High School Senior Portraits

I had a blast in Lincoln Park with Maggie taking her High School Senior Portrait this past August. She is so sweet, but also very chic. With an urban backdrop and a love for vintage, we set off exploring the neighborhood. My favorite was this fabulous back door to this old house in an alley. Love it!! Congratulations on graduation Maggie, I wish you much success in your future ahead!!

The Favia Family

I had the fabulous opportunity to photograph the Favia family again this year. I have been photographing their family for the last three years. It as been such a pleasure to watch their family grow from behind the lens. It so great to see the kids every summer too. They are so cute….and love to be photographed…so much FUN!! This session we ventured to Fullersburg Woods in Oak Brook, we had an amazing summer evening, with unbelievable beautiful light….here are my favorites!!
