I’m Back!!!

Okay….I did not mean to take a two month break from my blog, lots of things were going on in March, and I neglect you, my blog and my readers….well things are going to change!! I am tons and tons of posts behind, so I will be posting daily from this point on. There are lots of interesting post coming up in May. I have had lots of time to think about the direction of my blog and my posts, and taking a new approach to my blogging. (more details to come). I am gearing up tonight to go to Jamaica, flight is leaving at 6am and by tomorrow afternoon I will be in tropical paradise meeting with Katie and Brian to finalize all the wedding plans for the weekend!

When a couple chooses me to become their wedding photographer, I am honored. Photography is one of the most important parts of a wedding and I consider myself there to capture all the moments and memories for the couple to enjoy for a lifetime. So much is happening at a wedding, and so many emotions are flowing through the room. Laughing, tears, dancing…laughing some more…..an enormous amount of love, everywhere! It’s contagious. It’s addictive. I have one of the best jobs in the world, and I love it!

For the first official post in nearly two months, I want to start off with one of my favorite images captured this year, it is of the Bride and groom and her parents. This is a sneak at peek to tomorrows post of Jed and Julie beautiful wedding from last month. When I first saw this image, during the editing process, it overwhelmed me. It is so beautiful and filled with so much love. With out giving you any context of what was happening, how does this image make you feel? I would love to hear from you…..

I am very thankful this year to be doing what I love with my life. As a way to give back to the wonderful people who make this possible I wanted to do something special this holiday season, reach out to someone in need and give the the gift of photos. Boudoir Sessions in July!!!!

LMP is excited to say the first launch of Boudoir sessions in May were a hit and absolutely fabulous!! I am offering a session series in July. Can’t make the July date, but still interested?? Drop me a line and I can add you to my Boudoir list and you will be notified first the next session series. I will be offering a series of sessions again in the fall and winter!! Please let me know when you are interested in having a session, this helps me plan additional sessions. Want to schedule a session outside the promo date, no problem! The rates and packages are the same, you will need to book the hotel room and take care the extra costs, including parking. Contact me and we can discuss all the options!!

WHY: So….What is boudoir??
Boudoir is French for a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room. LMP Boudoir Sessions typically take place in a hotel room or other intimate setting. This allows us to create classy images that can be soft, romantic, and sexy.. The main focus of a boudoir photographer is to capture you in the most flattering way by guiding you through the poses that compliment your body type.

Why have a boudoir session??

To surprise your special someone with some fabulous photos in a super sexy custom album. It’s a perfect wedding present…..many of our boudoir sessions are a secret surprise for the hubby to be, left for him to enjoy the night before “the big day.” It’s a perfect for a Valentines day gift for couples….what better way to spice things up then to have some super hot pictures of you looking amazing in a custom designed album!! Or just simply because it fun!! Every women is beautiful in her own special way, every session is unique to each woman’s personality and style.

**To respect client privacy, and to not spoil the big surprise for many of the grooms-to-be, I will not be posting boudoir sessions on my blog regularly. Fun and silly, children portrait time!!!

I love photographing children, especially when I return each year and see how the children have grown since our last portrait “play-time” session. Last week I got to spend sometime playing with “K”. She showed me all her favorite friends……her fabulous collections of stuffed animals, currently her favorite is the goat…too silly. She also had to take plenty of pictures of me…..pausing just long enough for me to snap a few of her. I just love the series of precious portraits above….”K” makes the best faces, tooooo cute. She is so excited to be a big sister now, as we also had to spend sometime playing with “B”, the newest addition to the family. Here are a few of my favorites….Enjoy!!

My friend Chris asked me to take some family portraits….he is also a photographer and I understand how hard it is to be in the pics if you are always the one behind the camera……and jumped on the opportunity to photograph his lovely family. We decided to do some spring pictures at Fullersburg Woods in Oak Brook on a beautiful spring day. Henry is getting so big…….we took a walk in the woods and captured the spirit of family. Karen and Gabe – An Irish Wedding!!

Karen and Gabe were married on March 27th at the Chateau bu Sche on the South side of Chicago on a beautiful March evening. There were so many wonderful moments between the families, Karen and Gabe with their two beautiful children, and all the family that came to celebrate. Gabe’s Mother and siblings came in from Ireland to celebrate the joyful event, there was live music and fun dancing well into the night. Here are some of my favorites, Enjoy!!
