I am very thankful this year to be doing what I love with my life. As a way to give back to the wonderful people who make this possible I wanted to do something special this holiday season, reach out to someone in need and give the the gift of photos. Please read on below to find out what LMP is sharing this holiday season.

LMP is excited to say the first launch of Boudoir sessions in May were a hit and absolutely fabulous!! I am offering a session series in July. Can’t make the July date, but still interested?? Drop me a line and I can add you to my Boudoir list and you will be notified first the next session series. I will be offering a series of sessions again in the fall and winter!! Please let me know when you are interested in having a session, this helps me plan additional sessions. Want to schedule a session outside the promo date, no problem! The rates and packages are the same, you will need to book the hotel room and take care the extra costs, including parking. Contact me and we can discuss all the options!!

WHY: So….What is boudoir??
Boudoir is French for a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room. LMP Boudoir Sessions typically take place in a hotel room or other intimate setting. This allows us to create classy images that can be soft, romantic, and sexy.. The main focus of a boudoir photographer is to capture you in the most flattering way by guiding you through the poses that compliment your body type.
Why have a boudoir session??
To surprise your special someone with some fabulous photos in a super sexy custom album. It’s a perfect wedding present…..many of our boudoir sessions are a secret surprise for the hubby to be, left for him to enjoy the night before “the big day.” It’s a perfect for a Valentines day gift for couples….what better way to spice things up then to have some super hot pictures of you looking amazing in a custom designed album!! Or just simply because it fun!! Every women is beautiful in her own special way, every session is unique to each woman’s personality and style.
**To respect client privacy, and to not spoil the big surprise for many of the grooms-to-be, I will not be posting boudoir sessions on my blog regularly. Please view my blog to see a few samples that a client agreed I could use to promote the launch of this new genre of portrait sessions. I do have a portfolio of boudoir work and would be happy to share it with you. Please contact the studio for more information, I am always available to answer any questions you may have.

I love photographing children, especially when I return each year and see how the children have grown since our last portrait “play-time” session. Last week I got to spend sometime playing with “K”. She showed me all her favorite friends……her fabulous collections of stuffed animals, currently her favorite is the goat…too silly. She also had to take plenty of pictures of me…..pausing just long enough for me to snap a few of her. I just love the series of precious portraits above….”K” makes the best faces, tooooo cute. She is so excited to be a big sister now, as we also had to spend sometime playing with “B”, the newest addition to the family. Here are a few of my favorites….Enjoy!!

In April, LMP did it’s first boudoir weekend at a hip and urban Chicago hotel….it was a great success (not to mention I had some very beautiful clients!!) and LMP will be offering full sessions and special mini sessions.

My friend Chris asked me to take some family portraits….he is also a photographer and I understand how hard it is to be in the pics if you are always the one behind the camera……and jumped on the opportunity to photograph his lovely family. We decided to do some spring pictures at Fullersburg Woods in Oak Brook on a beautiful spring day. Henry is getting so big…….we took a walk in the woods and captured the spirit of family. Here are a few of my favs….enjoy!!!
Karen and Gabe were married on March 27th at the Chateau bu Sche on the South side of Chicago on a beautiful March evening. There were so many wonderful moments between the families, Karen and Gabe with their two beautiful children, and all the family that came to celebrate. Gabe’s Mother and siblings came in from Ireland to celebrate the joyful event, there was live music and fun dancing well into the night. Here are some of my favorites, Enjoy!!

I wanted to share a new blog that I am contributing to called The Bokeh Pot. This blog was started by my friend and very talented photographer from North Carolina Crystal Genes . Laura Manzare, another talented photographer, is also a contributor.

In a nutshell, The Bokeh Pot was created to serve as a directory and event resource for the up-and-coming photographers of the wedding and portrait industry.
This blog was created with three basic goals in mind:
1. give a little extra exposure to all those talented wedding and portrait photographers who have been in business 2 years or less
2. provide a place where other photographers, new or well established, can easily find the like-minded in their own community, to help break down walls and build more friendships and support
3. provide a common place to find out about all the numerous photography related events happening
