Earlier this month I had the pleasure of going to the Bridgeway of Bensenville, a Chicago Christian home retirement village, and photographing the staff and residents having fun and enjoying the many amenities that this establishment has to offer. Hair salons in house, to health and fitness centers and the cutest therapy puppies I have seen, are just a small look at what this beautiful establishment has to offer. Here are some of my favorite images form the day and a look at the hardworking staff that makes this  center so wonderful for all of its residents.

I love photographing children, especially when I return each year and see how the children have grown since our last portrait “play-time” session. Last week I got to spend sometime playing with “K”. She showed me all her favorite friends……her fabulous collections of stuffed animals, currently her favorite is the goat…too silly. She also had to take plenty of pictures of me…..pausing just long enough for me to snap a few of her. I just love the series of precious portraits above….”K” makes the best faces, tooooo cute. She is so excited to be a big sister now, as we also had to spend sometime playing with “B”, the newest addition to the family. Here are a few of my favorites….Enjoy!!

In April, LMP did it’s first boudoir weekend at a hip and urban Chicago hotel….it was a great success (not to mention I had some very beautiful clients!!) and LMP will be offering full sessions and special  mini sessions.

So….What is boudoir??

Boudoir is french for a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room. LMP Boudoir Sessions typically take place in a hotel room or other intimate setting. This allows us  to create classy images that can be soft, romantic, and sexy.. The main focus of a boudoir photographer is to capture you in the most flattering way by guiding you through the poses that compliment your body type.

Why have a boudoir session??

To surprise your special someone with some fabulous  photos in a super sexy custom album. It’s a perfect wedding present…..many of our boudoir sessions are a secret surprise for the hubby to be, left for him to enjoy the night before “the big day.” It’s a perfect for a Valentines day gift for couples….what better way to spice things up then to have some super hot pictures of you looking amazing in a custom designed album!! Or just simply because it fun!! Every women is beautiful in her own special way, every session is unique to each woman’s personality and style.

To respect client privacy, and to not spoil the big surprise for many of the grooms-to-be, I will not be posting boudoir sessions on my blog  regularly.  I do have a portfolio of boudoir work and would be happy to share it with you. My friend Chris asked me to take some family portraits….he is also a photographer and I understand how hard it is to be in the pics if you are always the one behind the camera……and jumped on the opportunity to photograph his lovely family.  We decided to do some spring pictures at Fullersburg Woods in Oak Brook on a beautiful spring day. Henry is getting so big…….we took a walk in the woods and captured the spirit of family. Here are a few of my favs….enjoy!!!

This week I was called by Turnstyle a design company based out of Seattle to do a photo shoot at Nordstrom at Oak Brook Shopping Center. The assignment, shoot candid images of the fabulous employees of the BP Department at Nordstrom. Natural light, totally natural poses…..not an easy feat, considering they have something like six different colored light bulbs showcasing the trendy and hip clothing lines. I am not allowed to use flash or stage the girls….talk about pressure:)

These Fabulous ladies are being recognized for excellence in sales and service. Selected photos will be featured in the Nordstroms in house company newsletter…but I promised the girls I would post my favorites on my blog so they could get a sneak peek….Enjoy and don’t forget to leave me some comment love!

A friend of mine, Wylee is launching her new business Space Girls. I did some interior photography for her of a little girl and boy’s room that was remodeled and carefully created to cater to the needs and creative style of both children. Wylee is a terrific artist and great designer, with a great eye for all the little details….check out her new website…it will be launching soon!!
