I met Ali and Dolan at Jed and Julie’s wedding this past March, Dolan and Jed are cousins. After the wedding I received a call from Ali and heard all about her wedding plans and ideas. Dolan and Ali decided that they wanted to have an intimate wedding in the Spring, just the two of them and the officiant, Rev Dennis, a family friend. I was trilled when they invited me to share in their special day and capture all the wonderful moments and details for them to share with all the loved ones that would not be attending. Dolan and Ali put so much thought into their wedding and all the details. Dolan is a mixed media artist and Ali is the Studio manager, they compliment each other so well. You have to check out Dolan’s work, it is full of southern charm and so unique. http://dolangeiman.blogspot.com The ceremony was held at the Garfield Park Conservatory, although the rain kept us from going outside for the ceremony/photos, the conservatory was a fabulous location! Ali and Dolan had a first look, as Dolan did not know about all the details Ali had envisioned for wedding day, it was so much fun to see Dolan’s reactions to how fabulous Ali looked! From there we found a beautiful spot in a quite part of the conservatory for the ceremony, and then did some exploring around the conservatory. To finish off the afternoon we headed to the studio for a surprise sweet treat, cake, cupcakes and champagne….and of course a few pics at the studio. I had sooo much fun taking portraits of Ali and Dolan and capturing all the moments from their special day.
A lot of thought was put into all the details for this wedding, and so many fabulous friends and vendors made all the visions come to life. From Buttons being sewn into Ali’s hair design, to a friend who made a fabulous cake and staged a surprise sweet treat for Dolan from Ali post ceremony back at the studio. A big Thank you to everyone that helped and contributed. Including, a BIG thank you to Chris, my assistant to shot some unique angles and carried, my bag and All of Ali and Dolan’s bags, throughout the conservatory…thanks Chris, couldn’t have done it with out you!!
