I had The wonderful opportunity to change an engagement session into a mini Family Portrait session for Karen and Gabe. We met at Promontory Point Park in Hyde Park for a quick session before the rain came in. This was our first time meeting and I am excited to be a part of their wedding in March 2009.
Dayna and Steve were married at Sunset at the Chicago East Bank Club, what a beautiful ceremony. The East Bank Club is where Steve and Dayna first met, so it was an especially important venue. What a treat a rooftop skyline view of Chicago on a beautiful fall evening. Dayna and the ladies prepared for the wedding at Dayna’s spa, Urban Spa Chic, a fun local spa you must check out. I spent an unbelievably beautiful fall afternoon with Lindsay and Maui this past October, at a “trash the dress session” in Chicago at Lincoln Park and North Avenue Beach. It was so much fun, and the weather was surreal, it must have been 70 degrees out in mid-October….WONDERFUL. These images are so intimate and romantic, with out the stress of the wedding day the couple was able to relax and we were without time restrictions….just wandering about taking photos and enjoying the afternoon.
Lindsay and Ryan, better known as Maui to his friends were married on October 3rd in Indiana. I was so excited when Lindsay and Maui asked me to photograph their wedding, I have known them both for many years. It was so much fun to be photographing a wedding where I knew so many of the guests….and what fun times everyone had, not a face in the room not smiling for the camera. The wedding went by in a blink of an eye, leaving memories of laughter and good times, and some really fun photographs!!
It was wonderful to be invited to my cousins Michael’s wedding, I snapped a few pictures of the event as a guest. It was a beautiful backyard wedding, although the rain put a damper into the event, we just followed the kids lead and took off our shoes. It was the first time I photographed a wedding with no shoes on!! Nothing stopped the fun from happening, lots of smiles and laughter taking place. The top picutes is my Aunt with all her Children and Grandchildren……wow its great to have everyone together!!
Danielle and Kris were married at the beautiful University of Chicago campus this past September. What a beautiful setting, one of my favorites settings in the City. The Bond Chapel has such great character, the entire campus gives a sense of traveling back in time to centuries long ago. Danielle and Kris met in Poland and International Hall on Campus was a perfect place for their luncheon reception. Enjoy the pictures!!
Becky and Bill are such a great, down to earth couple. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph their wedding in the south suburbs of Chicago over the rainiest weekend of the year. We did not let the rain defeat us, although it did change some of the wedding plans. We found two great gazebos and did most of our pictures there, venturing out with umbrellas as well…a little rain doesn’t hurt. I believe it brings good luck and best wished to the couple on their day!!

I had the wonderful opportunity to photography my cousin Jenny’s engagement session. It was a great day, not a cloud in the sky…perfect beach weather! We headed out to Michigan City to have some Labor day fun and find some great spots for pictures:) I look forward to their wedding in September 2009!!

Molly and Matt were married at Innsbrook Country Club, a beautiful club in Merriville, Indiana. I spent all day at the club, experiencing all the anticipation, the laughter and the tears as Molly and Matt celebrated there special day. The party started at sunset and finished with a late night sparkler exit…and a beautiful red mustang carried Molly and Matt of to there honeymoon…it was a blast!! Here are a bunch of my favorites form the day.
