I took a trip to Lilacia Park in Lombard, this was my first time here….what a beautiful park!!

http://www.lombardparks.com/parks/lilacia.htm It makes the list of top parks to photograph at in the western burbs of Chicago, especially in the Spring when the Lilacs and Tulips are in full bloom. I had the opportunity to photograph my friend Rachel’s Daughter Ariaha. What a little bundle of joy….so much laughing and smiling…..and so much to explore!! Although we were there at the end of the spring tulip season and most were already gone, the colors of the last ones remaining were so saturated in the evening light, which made for some very lovely photographs.

Oh….and I can’t forget to mention my wonderful assistant Cassie who tagged along that day, who you may have recognized from the many pictures I have taken of her over the years; …thanks for helping me chase Arahia around:)

There is an unspoken bond between Sisters…..these two beautiful girls that I had the opportunity of photographing in May, showed me just that bond. There were so many photographs that I liked from this session…but here are a few that I really enjoyed.

The laughter, the giggles…… and the secret smiles.
Both were a little shy of the camera, at first…but that did not last long….:)

I just love this one…..she makes the best facial expressions of any of the “little ones” I have photographed this year. So much character at such a young age….I love it:)

I was waiting for a portrait client at Lilica Park in Lombard and decided to do a little exploring with my fisheye and macro lens. These images are straight out of the camera….no Photoshop here….I just love them!! This will be a continuing work in progress:)

A friend of mine, Wylee is launching her new business Space Girls. I did some interior photography for her of a little girl and boy’s room that was remodeled and carefully created to cater to the needs and creative style of both children. Wylee is a terrific artist and great designer, with a great eye for all the little details….check out her new website…it will be launching soon!!

One of my favorite photos of the summer’s portrait season, of Kate and her magical bubble machine. Kate is such a wonderful child, full of surprises. She was a little shy in the beginning warming up to me…..but clinging to her “monkey” she agreed to have some photography fun. Out came the magical bubble machine and lots of smiles!!

I had the pleasure of photographing two bothers….Trent and Wes. It wasn’t a very happy day to be doing photography. I think we all were a little tired from the memorial day weekend we just finished. It was bright and early in the morning……and the tears were flowing…..but I did capture a handful of winning photos. I will being photographing Trent and Wes with Mom and Dad later this summer….so check back for additional adorable photos of this wonderful family:) …..I think Wes was a little fascinated by the reflection of a very handsome little boy in the glass of my camera lens…what a cute pie:)

On May 18th, I had the honor of photographing John and Nora’s wedding. From the moment we met we began instant friendship….so riding around the city in a classy limousine was just too much fun!! I was honored to be a part of such a big step in their lives , this was a simple but elegant event……full of friendship and love. Enjoy a few of my favorite photos:)

Kate and Luke were such a fun couple to photograph…so in love even though they have been separated for so long by miles and miles. We lucked out for s beautiful spring sunset for the ceremony that was held on a golf course……gorgeous!! There were so many great images from this wedding that I had to share it in a slide show….make sure you check it out at the bottom.
