I had my first photo session with my “meet-up group moms” last week and had the opportunity to photograph a very lovely family on a beautiful spring day.
I just love the pink ribbon….what a sweetheart.
After a little while of getting to know me and some serious face making (makes me giggle….so serious;) I captured one of my favorite photos of the session below……still a bit serious, but with a small, but adorable smile:)
…and then the fun began!!!
Monday was a beautiful spring day, and I spent it walking around the Arboretum with my best friend Cande and her daughter Cassie. We saw the exhibit: “There here” an exhibit of larger then life insects scattered throughout the arboretum, and had some fun moments together!! I always love to find new hidden gems to do portraits in. Nicole and Michael introduced me to the great little Japaneses garden that is part of University of Chicago Campus and located directly behind the Museum of Science and Industry. What a great spot!! Private, romantic, tranquil and unbelievable beautiful, a prefect spot for an e-session or some time away from the busy city life. We had a lot of fun exploring the garden and enjoying the atmosphere of our surroundings….and lots of laughing!!
What a Beautiful Sunday afternoon!! I had an engament session with Andy and Christina, who were in from Tennessee for the weekend. We walked around Lincoln Park and ended at a trip to the Beach. We had so much fun and you cold not ask for a nicer day!! Check out the sideshow:

What a beautiful day for engagement photos, Megan and Darwis are such a great couple, super sweet….and what fun when we found this heart on the tree in a forest preserve called Maple Lake. I look forward to shooting their wedding on June 7th in Chicago.
