This is Michelle, an old friend of mine who I reconnected with after many years. She is expecting a baby boy….very soon, and was kind enough to model for me as I experimented with my first time shooting maternity portraits. I wanted to create a dreamy magically feeling as this is such a special time in Michelle’s life. We had a lot of fun…..and I look forward to our next shoot in February with Steve!!
Amanda and Josh had such a beautiful winter wedding in Racine, WI, filled with magic and surprise. My assistant Maggie and I had such a great time, what a fun bridal party. The twinkle lights in the church and at the reception added such romance to the ambiance of the photographs. The weather passed and just as we were taking some romantic and fun portraits outside, the sky opened up and the sun peeked out for a moment, what a surprising magical moment! Such a gift from nature, that will be enjoyed in the memory of these unforgettable moments for years and years to come. This is a small collection of photographs from the time Maggie and I spent with Amanda and Josh, enjoy:)

I had the opportunity to do a project with a fellow Columbia College Associate this year. Charles Gomez Productions has recently purchased and saved an Art Deco Style Theater. After a year of renovations they are putting the finishing touches on this historic and glorious space out in Watseka, IL. Here are a few of the images from this on-going project. It is a mix of detail shots to reflections of the massive changes that are happening to restore this wonderful space back to working order for future generations to enjoy!!
